Our Partners
The movement for resistance and restoration is built on the ground, together. And that takes all of us. Meet all our partners below.
Community Partners
Khon Rak Ban Kerd - Loei (KRBK)
Khon Rak Ban Kerd, meaning "People Who Love Their Homeland", is a village-based organization founded in 2008 to fight against gold mining in Loei province, Thailand. Representing six villages in the Khao Luang Subdistrict directly impacted by mining, KRBK has spent over 15 years organizing communities to defend their land, health, and future.
In 2009, KRBK established the weaving group against mining to engage radical grandmas in the movement while fundraising for their organizing efforts. Since 2016, RadGram has partnered with the KRBK weavers to sell their products in the U.S. RadGram works in solidarity with KRBK in all aspects of their organizing work, from supporting them to drive and implement their community restoration plan, to facilitating the Weaving School to create intergenerational learning and community healing, coordinating research on the psychosocial impacts of mining, and supporting their community enterprise and selling their products in the United States.
Khao Lao Yai-Pha Chan Dai Community Forest Conservation Group
Known locally as the Dong Mafai Community, the group has been leading limestone mining resistance and restoration for over 30 years, fighting to protect their environment, health, and livelihoods. In 2020, the community successfully closed the mine through their organizing and direct action. Now they are working to restore their community and make their home a community tourism area. Their youth group takes an active role in restoration and community-led tourism as local guides. Since 2022, RadGram has partnered with the community by co-hosting educational programs and providing grant support.
NGO Partners
The Project for Public Policy on Mineral Resources (PPM)
PPM is a Thai-based NGO supporting communities impacted by extractive industries, rooted in grassroots organizing, legal advocacy, and direct action. Their team works directly with local human rights defenders across Northeast Thailand to build capacity and drive systemic change.
RadGram and PPM operate as peer organizations working alongside the same mining-impacted communities. PPM leads on organizing and legal strategy, while RadGram focuses on restoration, bringing complementary strengths to a shared mission.
Protection International (PI)
PI is an international NGO focused on the security of human rights defenders, capacity building, and policy advocacy. Their Thailand team works closely with PPM. When human rights work becomes dangerous and individuals face threats to their safety, PI works with frontline communities to develop collective protection strategies to keep people safe. PI's team primarily consists of women who work closely with women human rights defenders (WHRDs) in Thailand, creating safe spaces for people to share stories and connect culture and gender to defense work.
RadGram collaborates with PI on strategies within the larger scope of movement work in Thailand.
Restorative Culture Coalition of Thailand (RCCT)
RCCT is a network of academics, journalists, lawyers, communities, and NGOs working to build a national framework for holistic restoration to heal wounds created by extractive industries. Their Public Narrative training equips community members to voice their struggles and tell their own stories – a core tool for advocacy and healing.
RadGram partners with RCCT in supporting community-led restoration in mine-affected communities and co-hosting restoration events that bridge the gap between academic networks and community restoration efforts
Social Enterprise Partners
Numgunde Studio
Numgunde is a women-owned business run by two Khon Kaen University graduates that creates handmade bags and gifts. They specialize in quilting and bright patterns and sell their bags in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. They support RadGram by integrating hand-woven cloth made by KRBK weavers into bags durable for everyday use.
Golden Land Solidarity Collective
Golden Land Solidarity is a social enterprise dedicated to social change and community empowerment in Myanmar and Thailand. They collaborate with community-minded artisans to sell goods and support grassroots and mutual aid efforts, with a strong emphasis on women's empowerment and positive social transformation.
RadGram's products find a home at their shop based at the Loft Cafe in Chiang Mai, where Golden Land has also helped expand our reach to Goodcery, a local shop and café with a similar community-minded ethos.
